We call on the Catholic Church to stop taking any promises or vows of celibacy, and to declare that priests, brothers, and nuns are free to be married, 1. In order to provide a safer environment for children, 2.To give Church workers normal rights, 3. To receive back married priests, and 4. To staff priest-less parishes. . We are mindful of support for marriage in the traditions of the Church which still exist in the Eastern Rites, in receiving convert clergy, and in the Bible, including: 1 Timothy 3:2 and 4:3, Titus 1:5, and 1 Corinthians 7: 2-5, 7:10-11, and 9:5.
